Meet Our Staff

Wendy Smith – Executive Lead, Transformation & Strategy

Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to our Ontario Health Team. She served as the President of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association [OPA] where she worked with colleagues and OPA staff to advocate for access to rehabilitative services for patients across the province. As a Physiotherapist she truly understands, appreciates, and is committed to place the needs of her patients first. She also recognizes the importance of wrapping services around the patient and the value families and caregivers bring to the healing/wellness process.

Jon Kwok – Project and Quality Improvement Lead

Jon’s professional passions center around driving positive health impact, innovative change, and quality access to care. With a background in Kinesiology– he can draw from experiences in outpatient rehabilitation, ergonomics, and functional assessment. He is proud to have supported the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario since its inception through various committee/working group appointments.

As a Project Manager – he has successfully impacted projects within the occupational health, behaviour change, and health technology industries and is excited to have recently obtained his PMP designation.

As many of the above experiences were compiled from a ‘consulting’ perspective – Jon is highly comfortable with adapting a health project lens to a large variety of environments and situations. He is very much looking forward to adding value to the OHT and positively impacting population health within the Nipissing district.
